Hi folks,
I thought it might be a good time to re-start this topic for posting about the music currently on our minds and in our disc players!
In my case it may very well be something on my turntable! Yes, I still play records albums and even singles. Vinyl is about 88% of my collection at this point.

Well, anyhow....No turntable today!
I've been listening to Joan Jett's SINNER, Donovan's BARABAJAGAL,
John Fogerty's CENTERFIELD and The Runaways' QUEENS OF NOISE!

There ain't nuttin' like the sounds of music, IMO!
So howzabout YOU?!?!
Any ear candy to report on???

What a powerful performance! She did a great song off her new "I'm Not Dead" CD.

I gotta get that CD asap, if not sooner!

It's a GRRREAT plumber pose, actually!

I was a little short on funds at the time or I'd be listening to it right now!

Man I love Joan's new CD! It's great!

I think RIDDLES is my favorite track or is it FIVE?
ACDC rocks for sure but then so does the whole entire CD!

Does anyone else love this CD?

Gus, I would have to agree about how strong the "Sinner" Cd is I like the new songs as well as the older songs.

A couple of personal favorites are Watersign and Baby Blue...Well I can't start listing personal favorites or I would have to copy the whole track listing

Gus I'd have to agree with you on John Fogerty. I love his music. If you have not already check out his latest the Long Road Home which is a mix of Creedence stuff with his later solo stuff. The sound quality on it is excellent.

I like Joan's new cd as well. The songs that were redone from Naked are greatly improved. Some of the songs that are on there from previous albums could have been left off and that's my only criticism. I love Riddle, Five, ACDC, Naked, Turn It Around, 100 Feet Away. Watersign is another great one but it's been around a while longer.

Yo AK,
I knew John Fogerty had a new CD out but I didn't know it was a compilation. I'll still get it!

Do you remember how his old record company tried to sue him for plagarizing his own songs on Centerfield?
He actually sat in the witness box demonstrating to the jury how he writes songs and why, in many cases, they sound similar.
Of coarse the jury found him Not Guilty but it was an unbelievable moment in Rock History.
I saw him a few months ago on PBS (I think it was Austin City Limits) and he blew me away.
He is so talented and a GRRREAT performer too.

I always look forward to his latest!

Hey, howzabout that sale over at Joan's web store!

I'm getting these gems for a minimal investment!

Fit To Be Tied - CD
Little Liar Vinyl - Single
I Love You Love Vinyl - Single
Spinster Vinyl - Single
Backlash - CD Single
As I Am - CD Single
Eye To Eye - CD Single

I wish the sale was retroactive. I would be due a substantial refund!

Happy listening!

Not to mention all the Runaways CD's are on sale and so are the Runaways T shirts. Because it's only $5.00 bucks handling regardless of the amount you buy the more you buy the better the deal. It's like Christmas in August.

I saw Devendrah Banhart last night here in Aberdeen. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was a very uptempo show and hugely enjoyable.

I have to add that I'm incredibly excited. I'm going to be in London in October (we've already got tickets for Spamalot, starring Tim Curry as King Arthur, and Wicked!) but we had a free night to fill - and what has just been announced for that very night? THE NEW YORK DOLLS!!! I've managed to book tickets, so I think you can imagine what's blasting out of my speakers at the moment.
